# How to use CiThree Updated: 2026-09-30 ## 1. Create your account Choose a personal account for yourself or a company account if you are authorized to represent an organization. Enter accurate information, use a strong password and verify your email. CiThree is intended for adults: at least 18 and the legal age of adulthood where they live. A company account is reviewed by a CiThree administrator. Email verification and organizational identity verification are different steps. ## 2. Connect your identity to a real organization Open Profile, then Departments & Teams. Find the organization and request access to the relevant department or team. Give the authorized organization representative your unique User ID so they can match you to the correct application. The representative checks that you are a real person and that the membership is genuine. If they do not know you, suitable membership evidence, such as an organization badge, may help. Do not upload identity documents into public posts. Approval of at least one genuine membership enables verified participation. You do not have to stay in that organization forever: leaving does not by itself make you less trustworthy or erase your established relationship history. Verification is not a guarantee of character or professional qualifications. ## 3. Find your way around Home contains your news feed and publication tools. Circle helps you find people and organizations. Messages opens conversations. Profile contains your identity, rating summary, memberships and account tools. On a phone, the main navigation appears along the bottom. On a computer, related functions appear in the header and side navigation. Some features depend on account type and verification. ## 4. Understand C1, C2, C3 and C4 C1 summarizes opinions and perceived treatment from people with a qualifying current or historical same-group relationship. It does not specifically measure professional competence. C2 summarizes opinions from people whose time in the same organization overlapped and who do not have a C1 relationship. C3 summarizes opinions from verified people outside those C1/C2 relationships, including public perceptions. C4 concerns professional ability and work performance. Personal C4 eligibility depends on currently working in the same qualifying group. Company accounts have specific member and partner eligibility rules, including a limited three-day period after relevant membership ends. The service chooses the eligible scale from recorded relationships. You do not freely choose any circle for any person. Established C1 relationships persist; established C2 relationships persist unless a C1 relationship is later established. A high C1 and a lower C3 indicate different perceptions among different circles. These scores do not independently certify professional qualifications or prove that every C3 evaluator was a customer. ## 5. Give a profile rating Open an eligible profile, adjust an available scale and confirm your choice. Your own profile scales are view-only. Ratings range from 40 to 100 and begin at 50; the starting value is not evidence of poor performance. A personal account can make up to three eligible profile-rating actions in a rolling 30-day period, ordinarily with a 90-day interval before rating the same target again. A combined C1/C4 submission counts as one action. Company quotas depend on eligible membership size. The result is a weighted aggregate. Evaluator scores, existing rating history and the distance from the current score affect influence. Company ratings have greater weight. The exact formula is not published. Personal submissions receive a general response even when a limit means they have no effect. Eligible personal ratings normally influence the public score after 24–72 hours. Rounding can hide small changes. Company ratings may appear immediately. Other participants are not shown an individual rating history. Internal rating records are currently stored. CiThree does not promise complete anonymity against database access or compromise. ## 6. Publish and choose an audience Use Create publication in Home and review the audience before posting. Personal publications can use the available All, C1, C2 and C3 audience options. All does not mean guaranteed delivery to everyone: feed distribution follows the applicable relationships. Your private C3 contacts list is a separate feature from C3 profile ratings. A C3 publication audience is based on the relevant saved relationships when the publication is created. Publication ratings evaluate the publication separately from its author's profile. Eligible verified personal accounts can rate once per publication or sponsored reference; they cannot rate their own personal publication. The three-per-30-day profile quota does not apply. ## 7. Use messages and handle images Open Messages, select a conversation and send text or an attachment. Conversation controls include the available reply, copy, reaction, archive and other actions. Some chat images are transferred between devices. Both sides may need connectivity for a transfer to finish. A device-stored image may be unavailable after browser storage is cleared or on a different device. Keep your own copy of anything important. Text and message metadata are stored by the service. Publication and support uploads can use server storage; not every image follows the device-only chat model. ## 8. Manage privacy and report problems Review profile privacy settings and publication audiences before sharing. Blocking restricts communication but does not necessarily remove eligibility to rate under existing relationship rules. Hiding a membership does not erase the underlying relationship used by the rating system. Use Contact us in your profile for help or to report a problem. Describe specific conduct and provide only necessary information. Disliking a score is different from identifying impersonation, coercion or coordinated manipulation. If a false organization is discovered, its approved profiles may be individually rechecked. Members are not automatically treated as fake solely because their organization was false. ## 9. Read scores with context CiThree records subjective perceptions in different relationship circles, with a separate work-performance scale. Scores can support comparison; they do not replace independent evidence or guarantee that a person is suitable for a job, a service or another important decision. The service and its design may evolve. Read published notices about material changes. The legal documents currently displayed are drafts while operator details and remaining policy decisions are finalized. ## 10. Use peer feedback to understand workplace relationships CiThree can add context to discussions of workplace trust, employee relationships and professional reputation. C1–C3 describe different relationship perspectives; C4 concerns professional ability and work performance. For fair employee evaluation or an internal promotion, define the role and use consistent criteria supported by actual work. Consider relevant C4 opinions as supplementary context, and do not use a CiThree score as the sole basis for a hiring or promotion decision. New or sparsely rated profiles do not establish a lack of ability. Fairness and respectful treatment are aims of the community, not guaranteed outcomes. Participation should not be coerced, and CiThree does not automatically select candidates or resolve workplace disputes. Read the Workplace trust page for examples and questions to consider.
